SofanMax - Did you know that you can sign up for the AdSense monetization program using a free Blogspot domain? Nevertheless, getting approval is not an easy task. Some people claim that AdSense approval is more complicated nowadays than it used to be. I think this is true. Here are the reasons why AdSense will not approve your blog!
#1 Your blog is too new.
If you just created your blog yesterday, AdSense will be unlikely to approve it. However, AdSense itself does not explicitly state that your blog has to have a certain age. Still, newly created blogs usually are under construction, which means they don't have mature content.
AdSense will only approve websites with developed content, so newly created blogs are unlikely to get approval. Previously, AdSense did recommend your blog needs to be 6 months old, but I don't think this is no longer true.
But still, an older website with more published content has a better chance of approval.
So, for new bloggers, I recommend not rushing with monetization. Be patience! Take your time to develop a good website that people actually want to visit. Then, sign up for AdSense after that. The chance of approval will be a lot higher.
#2 Your blog does not have enough published content.
Just as I have implicitly stated in the first point, AdSense approval is highly dependent on content. Your published articles are your blog's lifeblood. If you want to have a profitable blog, do not be lazy to write!
Many users got rejected because they did not have enough published articles. Forget about monetization if you have only a few contents. You will not get any substantial profit if you do not have visitors anyway. Of course, again, AdSense does not have any specific requirement on how many published articles you need for approval.
Many people think that having 15 or 20 articles is enough for AdSense approval. That may be true. In fact, I was approved with as few as 3 articles. However, this is an exception to the rule. It is a rare occurrence. Usually, having more than 100 articles would provide you with a significantly higher chance of success.
#3 Your blog's content quality is terrible.
Besides the quantity of the published articles, I believe quality also significantly influences AdSense approval. In my opinion, quality is defined by three primary factors.
The first one is originality. AdSense will reject your Blogspot website if you publish plagiarised content. Moreover, a website that discusses something too generic might have a more challenging time getting AdSense approval. Be original with your idea and the way you present the idea.
The second one is readability. Make sure that you are using proper sentences. Adhere to the generally accepted grammar convention. Plus, pay attention to the text formatting. Do not post a wall of text!
The third one is the depth of the article. Instead of writing something that is already an obvious common knowledge, you should try to elaborate further. For example, you want to create a product review website. Do not just list the product features, but explain why those products are good.
#4 Your blog violates AdSense content policy.
AdSense maintain a strict set of rule. Any website that violates its content policy will never get approval! So, before you sign up for AdSense, read this official guideline first!
#5 You are not 18 yet.
AdSense monetization program is only eligible for Blogspot users who are already 18 years old or older. Alternatively, you can ask your parents or legal guardian to monetize your blog through their AdSense account. Once you are old enough, you can create your own account.
#6 Your blog is not indexed in Google.
AdSense does not actually explicitly state that your blog must be indexed in Google. It only says that users can visit your published website. Nevertheless, based on my observation, websites that do not have traffic from Google often struggle to get AdSense approval. You can index your Blogspot website using Google Search Console.
Moreover, if you want to have a profitable blog, you should aim to get traffic from Google as much as possible. It pays more!
#7 Your blog has a spammy subdomain name.
A blog with a questionable spammy subdomain may not be approved by AdSense. This point is related to point number 4 regarding content policy.
When choosing a subdomain for a Blogspot, you should be original with it. Be short and memorable!
#8 Your blog is not well-organized.
Having a navigation menu is an essential part of getting AdSense approval. In fact, a website that does not have a proper menu will trigger a specific rejection.
Be sure to have a functional menu that helps users navigate your content. Avoid having broken links on your website!
#9 You change your blog theme during the approval waiting time.
Once again, AdSense only approves a well-developed blog. If you change your theme during the approval process, AdSense will think that your website is still under construction, which means it is not ready for monetization.
