Fiksioner v3 is Out! The Best Free Blogger Theme Just Got Even Better

Fiksioner v3 is currently the best Blogger theme which is available for free! It puts emphasize on optimization but it still has elegant interface.

Igniel just outdid herself with the latest Fiksioner update! The Fiksioner v3 is finally out today. The updated theme supposedly has a better compatibility with the new Blogger system. It also comes with modernized interface while still retaining Fiksioner's elegant simplicity.

I installed Fiksioner v3 just now in one of my blog to test the improvements.  I am not exaggerating that it is infinitely better than Fiksioner v2. The v3 received radical changes and now it looks completely different compared to the v2.

Fiksoner v3 is Still FREE

I am surprised that Fiksoner v3 is still free. The interface, the features, and the performance are all top tier. Fiksioner v3 is better than some premium Blogger themes.

Previously, there was no option to remove the credit footer. However, for those of you who want to remove it, Igniel now provides you with premium option. Currently the price is only $15 (Rp100,000 if you are Indonesian).

There is NO DIFFERENCE between Fiksioner premium and the free version. You can still have the same full funtionality in the free version. The premium version only gives you the ability to remove the footer. 

So is it still worth it to spend $15 for premium version? Heck yes! Especially if you have money to spare. If not, no big deal, the free version with the credit footer is just as good.

There are at least two good reasons (other than just removing the footer) why the premium version is worth it:

  • As I have said before, Fiksioner definitely has premium value. If Fiksioner were premium-only, $15 would still be cheap for what you could get.
  • Support the theme creator! Igniel could have made Fiksioner as premium only, but she didn't do it. That shows her quality as a template designer. She is not greedy so reward her hard work!


If you do not have money to spare, Fiksioner free version is completely fine. No feature will be locked behind the paywall so you will have the same perfomance as the premium verison. The unremoveable footer is small and elegant. It will not reduce your blog's professionality at all!

Fiksioner v3 is Easier to Install

You can now easily edit Fiksioner's feature from Blogger's Layout menu. This is a big game changer for mobile bloggers. You can set up Fiksioner easily even from your phone.

Previously, in order to set up the theme, you had to edit it from the Blogger Theme's  Edit HTML. It coud be confusing to locate the code which need to be edited.

Now, Fiksioner is easier to set up. You do not need to locate the code from the confusing HTML editor. You can edit the menu  and other features from the Layout instantly.

Fiksioner v3 Has Amazing Interface

The header is now fixed in place. There is no transformation when you scroll down. I think it is a good thing because having a fixed menu reduces layout shift.

The menu shift in v2 was not distracting. It was handled elegantly. However, the fixed menu in v3 is still preferable for me. It means that the blog will have a better visual stability.



Fiksioner v3 comes with a floating sidebar! It is a marvelous addition. But beware, do not put AdSense ads on a floating sidebar because I believe it is against the policy. Floating sidebar still it is a great space to display affiliate products or your non AdSense ads.

Speaking of ads, Fiksioner v3 now has an in-feed ads space on the homepage!

The comment section is also changed. Now it looks way more attractive. I do not have problem with the simple v2 comment interface, but the update is not bad at all.

Some people complain that the homepage's thumbnail image dimension in v2 was not great. I personally did not mind it, it looked fine. Now the thumbnail will have bigger size and square.

Fiksioner v3 Now Support GA From Blogger Dashboard

It is probably a minor change for most bloggers who do not use Google Analytic (GA), but for me this is a game changer. You no longer need to put GA tracking code manually in the head. 

Previously, placing tracking ID in your Blogger dashboard wouldn't work because the theme was not compatible. It could cause issue with loading speed. Simplified code is always better.

Now, you can simply put the tracking ID in Blogger dashboard and the GA will work. It eliminates the need to put JavaScript code inside the head thus your blog loading speed will not be affected as much.

      You can make manual table of content by utilizing HTML id attribute to maka an anchor. Mark the specific text that you want to with that attribute, for example: banana, then mark it with "a id="banana"".

      If you would like to create a link which point directly to banana then you could use the insert link and put #banana.

      Fonts can be changed via theme customization. You can change its color or type. If you would like to bold out the font in the menu, you can use "b" tag.

      Please note that this theme is still very new, there might be some minor updates which fix some minor bugs, so stay tune.

    1. Remove the code marked in yellow if you would like to remove your blog's name from your title tag.

      Remove the blue part if you also want to remove blog's name in social media.

      I'd like to note that adding blog's name in title tag is common practice nowadays, especially if the name has branding value.

    1. You do not need to remove any code. Just go to Layout then just do not put any gadget/widget inside the SIDEBARSTICKY. You can just hide or remove or drag any widget out of the area.
  6. I am using fiksioner Version 3 theme on one of my adsense approved blog. Before placing the ads, my blog speed is pretty good but after placing adsense ads my blog speed is getting very low approx to 35. I am using adsense auto ads in my blog. Do you know any method to solve this problem.

    May you also tell me how to place ad between the paragraphs of a post. I will be highly grateful for this.
    1. That's normal for AdSense to lower the pagespeed insight score, especially in mobile view. In fact, every Blogger themes will drop score once ads are enabled. So far, Textrim and Fiksioner both still have higher score compared to other themes when AdSense is enabled.

      Also your individual post urls should still be high even though your homepage is low. The individual posts are more important than homepage score.

      However, you shouldn't be too concerned about it. In real life usage, users will not notice any speed drop at all. Morover, pagespeed insight score is not used as ranking factor. The real life page speed is the ranking signal (not the pagespeed insight score).

      Check your core web vitals data in search console! If you do not notice any error in the next few weeks then the theme is completely fine.

    1. Go to Layout then from the sidebar section click "Add a gadget". Select "Feed", then add your blog's feed url (https://yourblogname.com/feeds/posts/default, for example my blog feed is https://sofanmax.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default). Finally, click save.

    1. You need to assign labels from your article editor. Edit your articles, the add labels from the left sidebar.

    3. Not quite sure with what do you mean, what's your blog so that I can check the possible problems?
    4. There is a big possibility that the theme installation was not perfect. I suggest you do not use the "Restore" feature. Instead, open the xml file in notepad then copy the code directly to the "Edit HTML". That way the theme will contain no glitches.

    1. I think Fiksioner is using 16px font size and the font is Roboto, font weight is 400 and line height is 28px.
