Language

1 min read
The most noticeable difference of this place is the language, Banyumasan dialect, or "ngapak" so they call it. I did expect that it would be a little different when I was about to live here but the real language, when they actually spoke it, is much more intense than I initially imagined. It's much faster and louder compared Yogyakartan dialect. I wonder if I'll be able to speak the dialect, but I sure hope I will get used to it soon so at the very least I can understand them better.

Edit: Revisiting this in 2019, I can't still speak it myself but I can understand what they say just fine
